SpaceX will not launch Orbcomm satellites Sunday evening, and no new date is set. However, a static fire could proceed this afternoon.
Test erfolgreich laut NSF.
Sources note the test was successful, with a smooth flow to ignition – bar some initial weather constraints – with the firing also proving engineers have fixed the problem surrounding the rocket’s helium pressurization system that scrubbed Static Fire last month.
The U.S. Air Force's Eastern Range is scheduled to undergo two weeks of maintenance beginning next week. It was unclear Friday whether the Air Force could accommodate SpaceX's launch during that time.
OG2 Mission 1 Update: June 15, 2014On Friday, June 13 SpaceX completed a successful static test fire on our dedicated Falcon 9 launch vehicle with our six OG2 satellites on board. We are presently encapsulated, and the satellites are in ready-to-launch condition. SpaceX is in the process of finalizing the launch schedule with the Range at the Cape, and we expect to announce a new launch date shortly.
SpaceX: Orbcomm launch now set for June 20, and we sill expect seven more launches this year after that.
SpaceX: Starting 3Q 2015 we'll have use of 2nd launch pad for Falcon 9, which should ease crowded-manifest issues. Pad for F9 and F Heavy.
Und dann ist bestimmt das Wetter schlecht....
range has "officially" approved launch of #falcon9 on Friday 20 June. But..weather is looking bad. Only 30% acceptable conditions forecasted
