Am frühen Morgen des 20. Juni erreichte der „Smile“-Satellit nach zwölf Bahnmanövern präzise seine vorbestimmte wissenschaftliche Beobachtungsbahn. Die Bahnmanöver wurden maßgeblich von der Bodenstation der Europäischen Weltraumorganisation (ESA) unterstützt.
Der „Smile“-Satellit war am 19. Mai vom Weltraumbahnhof Kourou in Französisch-Guayana gestartet und hatte erfolgreich seine anfängliche Umlaufbahn erreicht. Nach Abschluss der ersten Tests der Satellitenplattform im Orbit wurde am frühen Morgen des 25. Mai die erste Bahnsteuerung eingeleitet.
Anschließend wird das chinesisch-europäische Forschungs- und Entwicklungsteam planmäßig die Nutzlastbucht und die Nutzlasten des Satelliten aktivieren, um eine zweimonatige Testphase im Orbit durchzuführen"
[“Smile” Satellite Reaches Scientific Observation Orbit, Commences On-Orbit Testing] In the early morning of June 20th, the “Smile” satellite, after 12 orbital maneuvers, accurately entered its predetermined scientific observation orbit. The orbital maneuvering operation received strong support from the European Space Agency's tracking and control station.
The “Smile” satellite was launched from the Kourou launch site in French Guiana on May 19th and successfully entered its initial orbit. After completing preliminary on-orbit testing of the satellite platform, its first orbit control was initiated in the early morning of May 25th.
Subsequently, the Sino-European research and development team will, as planned, power up the satellite's payload bay and payloads to conduct a two-month on-orbit testing period.
