I've found your space forum searching an image of the NASA Orion

I'm very interested on everything about Spacecrafts and Spaceflights

I've published many articles (and some UNIQUE concepts and 3-D images) about Space on my website here:

also, I open threads and write posts/replies/comments on many space forums and blogs around the world (CosmicLOg, HobbySpace, etc.)

unfortunately, I just know my mother launguage (italian) and english (a little bit...)

to posting on a french forum, I've used Babel Fish, but that kind of on-line translators, cut part of the text and (also) give a very bad translation (in both ways)

so, my question is: "can I open threads and write posts/replies here in English?"

Why do you want to post in German forums? It's much easier to post in English ones, and I guess there are also some Italian forums.

Caro Gaetano, Beiträge von Dir würden sicher unser Forum bereichern, aber es ist nun mal entschieden, daß hier in deutscher Sprache verhandelt wird. Wenn dem nicht so wäre, dann würde ich in französisch und unsere Ukrain-Kids in ukrainisch schreiben wollen. Wäre für die Verständigung nur ein wenig schwierig. Ja, ist nun mal leider so, sonst hätten wir hier einen Mix aus so vielen verschiedenen Sprachen durch den keiner mehr durchblicken würde... Und da hier ja viele Leute des Englischen nicht so mächtig sind wäre es absolut unsinnig das zu gestatten, wo wir ja sogar schon versuchen möglichst alle englischen Meldungen auf Deutsch zusammenzufassen...

I post this message in english since 80% the the Corsar and Abakama messages' text become only a random mix of english words after the automated translation... really, I don't understand why Google & C. still call these (very bad) services "Translators" ...

well, despite English is not ukrainian (with all respect) but a real "Esperanto" (especially in the hi-tech world) I understand the problem for a non-english forum

however, I suggest a (possible) solution (adopted by an italian space forum) ... open an english section or (at least) a single thread (maybe, THIS thread, just changing its title) for all foreign users that don't understand the german language, so, all german and non german users that know the "english esperanto" can use this special "international" thread to post (while all other threads will use the forum's mother language)

if the forum's administrators like my suggestion, may change the title of this thread with something like... "international space thread" or "english thread" or "foreign users' thread" etc.

Maybe its possible to support an english corner in this forum. Apart from that I would suggest to use www.nasaspaceflight.com because there are many international users and also many members of this forum there.

I've posted (and still post) many times on american and english forums, but many users of that forums don't like so much the proposals that involves ESA, Russia, China and their space hardware in the ESAS plan... proposals like my "Ares-F" or the suggestion to use the Vulcain 2 are (simply) rejected... and that already happen last year when I've suggested to use the (ready available) Ariane5 (after man-rating it) to launch the orbital Orion:

Die englischen Foren Weltweit sind ausufernd, und genau so dumm, blöd und einfältig wie in allen anderen Sprachen. Klar gibt es auch da ein paar ansprechende, interessante Foren, so wie unseres.
Also, wenn du hier im Raumcon schreiben willst, bitte in DEUTSCH, ansonsten gibt es wie gesagt jede Menge englisch-sprachige Foren.

Firstly, I want to say that I understand your request for an English-speaking board inside the Raumcon.

Unfortunately starting a new Board in another language has to be planned very well. Most of the people writing for Raumcon are using it because they can discuss in German here. I guess that most of them do not want posting in English (it's hard for me too, German would be much easier ).

Starting an English board would need critical mass of English writing people. A community does not run because there is a board - but because there are people who want to write. Sadly I do not see where we should get those English writing people.

Perhaps one day we could establish some partnerships to English / American space websites to support this board. But in the moment I think there is just this German speaking community and no need for English discussions.

I understand your point since I've the same problem with all languages different from italian and english
follow an english thread is a double work for (both) moderators and users then I'll not open new threads
however, can I post some links in this (already open) thread when I've something new and interesting?
e.g. new articles, news, interesting images (like 3-D images of the Moon and Mars) new "concepts", etc.
everytime I post a link, the brief comment in english will be translated (also) in German with Babel Fish:

As for using BabelFish: Please refrain from doing so, the text you translated with that tool translated "thread" into "Gewinde" which means "screw thread". We do use the English term "thread" in Germany.
